Ms Aquino (Phys Ed) Danielle Shkiler and Tyler Williams
Description:
Originally for our placement, Ms. Aquino wanted a website for herself and for the whole Physical Education department in order to have organized Youtube video tutorials available to the gym students. After talking with Ms. Cuttle and learning the there is an Athletics page on the Mackenzie website, we talked to Ms. Aquino and agreed that we'll add her resources to the school website.
On the Mackenzie website under Physical Education, a resource page is available. This page includes videos for Badminton, Baseball, Basketball, Fitness/Fitness Testing, Football, Rugby, Soccer, Ultimate Frisbee and Volleyball. Under these categories videos for specific skills are embedded into the page.
Other Applications:
Youtube:
Youtube is filled with video tutorials for every subject. Though it requires some searching, teachers can find tutorials, step by step instruction, examples and enriching videos for almost every website. Due to the fact that they are on a public site such as Youtube.com they are available for everyone's use and can be accessed by anyone with a computer.
Wordpress:
Wordpress is a more professional and structured website platform than Weebly or Google Sites. It can be used for teachers who are more familiar with technology and want a clean looking website.
