Ms. Martin-Jordache - Kevin Mao, Alan Nguyen
Teacher: Ms.Martin-Jordache
Subject: French
Technology: Google Docs and Moodle
Description:
Ms. Martin-Jordache did not really have a clear idea of what she where she wanted to take the placement project. But as the placement project progressed, we were able to narrow down on what she wanted to do.
She wanted to use Google Docs and as well as Moodle for her French Class.
She wanted to use Google Docs in the handing in and distribution of assignments and projects. She wanted to be able to mark, provide feedback and monitor students' group work. We went over the the basics of Google Docs: importing, creating a document, sharing documents, commenting and monitoring. Ms. Martin-Jordache is now happily using Google Docs to mark and distribute assignments.
Next, Ms.Martin-Jordache wanted to use Moodle. Though this was a lot harder than earlier anticipated, it was a great learning experience. We had to learn how to use Moodle, and all of its many functions. We learned to create activities, add lessons, submit assignments, creating quizzes, grading work, monitoring group work and about student interaction.
We wrapped up our placement project by showing Ms. Martin-Jordache the Moodle and its functions.
The Moodle we created for Ms.Martin-Jordache can be found here: http://abelmoodle.abel.yorku.ca/moodle/course/view.php?id=531
