Ms. Papernick - Christie Park and Misha Koralov
Teacher: Ms. Papernick
Subject: Geography, English, Student Success
Technology Used: Weebly Education
Description:
Ms. Papernick wanted to create a website for her second semester classes where her students can submit assignments online, find notes, important information on assessments and assignments, and useful resources. As Ms. Papernick was very new to technology, she needed a very simple and easy to use website, as well as our guidance to learn how to use it. We asked the students in the websites group from the first technology project which website platform is easiest to use. We were directed to Weebly Education, which we found very straightforward and teacher friendly.
We helped Ms. Papernick register an account with Weebly Education and started a website for her. We spent majority of our placement playing around with the features of Weebly Education and learning how to do the basics, such as adding text, pictures, videos, etc. Once Ms. Papernick felt more comfortable with the website, we organized the website and added some basic elements so that it is ready for her second semester classes. We created two separate pages for her grade 9 geography and grade 10 english classes, in which created subpages for notes, assignments, and useful resources. On the homepage, we included an assignment form and a contact form so that her students can submit assignments online and also be able to easily contact her through the website.
Additionally, Ms. Papernick needed some reference material for her to look back to in case she forgets how to do something. Using photoshop, we put together three pages of reference with basic instructions so that she can continue to update her website on her own.

Applications for Other Subjects:
Our project is a great example of how one technology can be used for several classes and subjects. The website we created is in fact geared for two different classes of different grades and subjects. By simply creating separate pages, one website can be used for many different purposes.
Weebly Education is an excellent website platform that is specifically designed for teachers, which makes it absolutely perfect for a class website. With Weebly Education, teachers can post announcements, assignments, resources, and notes. Teachers can also accept assignment submissions online and showcase students' work. The applications for Weebly Education can apply to any subjects and any class.
Portfolio Piece:
We created a video touring the website we created for Ms. Papernick.
