Description
Ms. Soto-Gordon wanted us to teach her first period ESL class how to use SmartBoard, Prezi, and clickers. She also requested us to teach her how to create a website and update it. However, due to the limited time we had, we only got to teach Ms. Soto- Gordon how to set-up her website. We provided her with a list of different website-making tools she could use to make her website as well as the pros and cons of having a website. Ms. Soto-Gordon ended up choosing Google Sites. We helped her create a Google account and showed her how to choose her website template. We also showed her how to add pages and applications, such as Google calendar, on to her website. Ms. Soto-Gordon was very pleased with her website, and we did leave her with adequate knowledge on how to update her website.
We did plan on having a tutorial presentation on Prezi for Ms. Soto-Gordon's ESL class. We practiced setting up the projector and the laptop in her room after she informed us that she was having trouble setting up herself. On the day of the presentation we planned to show her how to properly set up the projector, so she wouldn't have troubles setting up the next time. However, on the day of our presentation, she was absent, and so the presentation was cancelled.

Application for Other Subjects
Google Site: A Google site is a way to work collaboratively and create a free website. It also allows the user to add file attachments, information from other Google applications such as Google Docs, Google Calendar and YouTube. All teachers will benefit from using this tool because it a simple way of making a class website and is easy to update. Teachers also don’t need to start from scratch because a Google site has preset themes you can choose from.
